Terms of sale
These terms cover the drum lessons and lesson packages bought on this site. Recording work is agreed separately in a quote.

What can you buy?
What you buy here are drum lessons and lesson packages. A lesson runs 30 or 60 minutes as you choose, and takes place either in Helsinki or over video.
A package holds eight hours, booked at your own pace, one or several at once.
Drum recording is not bought through this site. It is quoted separately, and the terms are agreed in that quote.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown on the lessons page and include VAT. The price is the one on your screen when you book.
Payment is taken at the time of booking. At the checkout you can pay by card, MobilePay, Klarna, PayPal or Stripe Link. Stripe handles the payment, and I never process or see the card number.
A receipt arrives by email right after payment. On your statement it reads JMM* followed by a short description of the purchase — for example JMM* DRUM LESSON.
Booking and confirmation
The booking is binding once the payment goes through. You get a confirmation, a calendar invite and your own cancellation link by email.
Lessons for anyone under 18 are booked by a guardian. The booking is made in the guardian’s name and email address, and the guardian is the contracting party.
If no confirmation arrives within fifteen minutes, check your spam folder and then get in touch. With MobilePay, Klarna and PayPal the payment settles with a delay, so the confirmation may take up to a day. It is worth waiting for the confirmation before booking again, so the same lesson is not paid for twice.
Cancellation and refunds
You cancel from the link in the confirmation email. The link works right up until the lesson starts.
At least three days before the lesson starts: the full amount is refunded.
Less than three days before: half is refunded.
Once the lesson has started, there is no refund.
Three days means 72 hours before the lesson starts, not calendar days. The limit is counted from the moment you confirm the cancellation, not from opening the link.
Illness is different: let me know as soon as you do, and the lesson moves to a new time at no charge.
The refund goes back the same way you paid and appears within a few business days. A card refund shows on your statement, other methods in that provider's own view.
Right of withdrawal
A consumer normally has a fourteen-day right of withdrawal on a service bought online. Under Finnish consumer law it does not apply to leisure services booked for a specific time.
A single drum lesson is booked for a specific time, so the cancellation rule above applies to it.
A lesson package is not tied to any date, so it can be cancelled at any time. Get in touch by email.
If some of the hours have already been held, they are priced at the single-lesson rate and the rest of the payment is refunded. The discount is what you get for buying eight hours, and it does not survive breaking the package up. If the single-lesson price of the hours held exceeds what was paid for the package, there is no refund — and the difference is not charged either.
Within fourteen days of the purchase, however, the amount withheld does not exceed the share of the package price proportionate to the hours held. That is the statutory right of withdrawal, and it takes precedence over this term whenever it works out better for you.
If I have to cancel
I tell you as soon as I know. You get the full amount back or a new time, whichever you prefer.
Running late
A lesson starts and ends at the agreed time. Arriving late shortens the lesson; it does not move the end.
If a lesson goes unused without being cancelled, it counts as held.
Online lessons
An online lesson runs over video. You need your own kit or a practice pad, a network connection and a device with a camera and a microphone.
If the connection drops badly enough to cut the lesson short, we agree on a replacement time.
Packages and balance
After buying a package you get a balance code by email. You book lessons with it without paying again.
The balance does not expire.
A lesson booked with the balance can be cancelled the same way as a paid one. No money moves: the hour returns to your balance.
The code is personal, and whoever holds it can book lessons — so it is worth keeping to yourself. A gift certificate is the exception: it is handed on, and the code goes with it.
Recording work
Recording is agreed by quote. The calculator on the site gives an estimate, not a binding offer.
Payment comes in two instalments: 50 per cent up front when you accept the quote, and 50 per cent when you approve the finished work. The full-resolution files are delivered once the second instalment is paid.
The other terms of the quote — revision rounds, delivery and schedule — are written into the quote, and they take precedence over these terms.
Disagreements
Get in touch with me first. Most things are settled in one message.
If it is not resolved, you can take it to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board. Contact Consumer Advisory Services before that.
Finnish law applies to the agreement.
